Savory Beef Tips with Mushroom Gravy

1 onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth

1 lb beef tips or stew meat

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Season the beef tips generously with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm the olive oil. Add the beef tips and sear them until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Once browned, remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their moisture and develop a golden brown color, about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste.
Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook until the gravy thickens, approximately 5 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce, blending well with the gravy. Return the beef tips to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Taste the gravy and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper, if necessary.
