Creamy Garlic Chicken is a rich and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken breast with a delicious garlic cream sauce. 

It’s a perfect comfort food that goes well with a variety of side dishes, from pasta and rice to steamed vegetables and crusty bread.

Here is an easy recipe to make this delicious dish at home.

Creamy Garlic Chicken Recipe


• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets

• Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

• 1 tablespoon olive oil

• 2 tablespoons butter

• 5 minced garlic cloves

• 1 cup chicken broth

• 1 cup cream

• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

• 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mixture of oregano, basil and thyme)

• 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

• Optional: 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a spicy note


1. Prepare the chicken:

Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper. If the breasts are thick, you can shape or pound them to an even thickness for more even cooking.

2. Brown the chicken:

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.

3. Prepare the garlic cream sauce:

In the same pan, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant but not brown, about 1 minute.o Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the broth simmer and reduce by half.

Add cream, Parmesan cheese and dried Italian herbs. If using, add the red pepper flakes now. Let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes until it begins to thicken.Season with more salt and pepper if necessary.

4. Mix chicken and sauce:

Add the cooked chicken breasts back to the pan and pour the sauce over them to cover them. Cook over low heat for another 2-3 minutes to allow the chicken to absorb some of the sauce.

5.Garnish and serve:

Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top for a fresh color contrast and added flavor. Serve the creamy garlic chicken hot with a side dish of your choice.


• Pasta: Serve over cooked pasta such as fettuccine, linguine or spaghetti to soak up the delicious cream sauce.

• Rice: A bed of fluffy white or brown rice is an excellent side dish that soaks up the sauce and complements the chicken.
