Mississippi Mud Cake


This Mississippi Mud Cake features homemade chocolate cake with melted marshmallows and warm

chocolate frosting on top. Trust me, it’s as delicious as it looks!

When I think of a chocolate lover’s dream, this cake comes to mind! It is called “Mississippi Mud” cake

because of the layers of soft marshmallow and chocolate that make up the frosting and frosting. Thisis one of the easiest cakes to make and is baked in a simple 9×13 inch pan.

Ingredients
 

For the cake:

or 1 C. Unsalted and softened butter

or 1 ½ C. Granulated sugar

or 1 ½ C. All-purpose flour

or ½ C. Cocoa powder

or 4 Large eggs

or 2 tsp.Vanilla Extract

or 1 C. Chopped Pecans
or 4 C. Mini Marshmallows

For the Frosting:

or 16 oz. Powdered sugar

or ½ C. Whole milk

or ½ C.Cocoa powder

or ¼C. Unsalted and softened butter

To make Mississippi Mud Pie :
 

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. For the cake, mix butter and sugar in a bowl.

3.Stir in flour, cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. Add the chopped walnuts.

5. Spread the dough evenly in a well-greased 9×13 baking dish.6. Bake for 25 minutes until fully

cooked.

7. Pour the marshmallows onto the cake as soon as you remove it from the oven and allow it to set.
Once soft and melted, spread them evenly over the cake.8. Mix the ingredients for the glaze until

smooth and creamy.

9. Spread the icing over the cooled cake and serve.
